Buffered Coco Coir (Coco Peat)
Buffered coco coir (coco peat) is coco coir that has been pre-treated with calcium and magnesium to support stable pH and consistent nutrient behaviour during feeding. Blue Apple Garden buffered coco coir is washed to low EC (≤ 0.5 mS/cm) and pH-adjusted to 5.5–6.5, so it performs consistently once hydrated.
Our range is supplied as compressed bricks: a 5 kg single brick expands to approximately 75 litres of hydrated growing medium after 20 to 30 minutes of soaking, and a 3-pack (15 kg compressed total) expands to up to 225 litres. Plant-specific mixes (5 L and 10 L bags — coming soon) are built on the same buffered base.
