A specially formulated acidic coco coir blend for acid-loving plants such as blueberries, azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, and heathers. Delivers the low pH these plants demand — without a single gram of peat.
Acid-loving plants suffer in standard compost because the pH is too high, locking out iron and causing yellowing leaves. Our Ericaceous Mix uses buffered coco coir adjusted to pH 4.5–5.5 — the ideal range for ericaceous plants — combined with coco husk chips for structure and aeration, plus a 6-month controlled-release fertiliser sachet included in every bag.
Fill your pot or container with the Ericaceous Mix, leaving 2 cm from the rim. Plant your shrub or seedling, firming gently around the base. Water thoroughly after planting. For best results, use rainwater where possible — tap water in hard-water areas can gradually raise the pH over time.
