About Us
Grown from the ground up — for growers who care
Blue Apple Garden was founded with a simple belief: UK gardeners deserve access to the same professional-grade growing media used by commercial horticulturalists — without the commercial price tag.
We source and supply premium buffered coco coir bricks — a natural, sustainable alternative to peat-based composts. Our coco coir is washed, calcium-buffered, and pH-balanced to 5.5–6.5, so it's ready to perform from the moment water hits the brick.
Why coco coir?
Coco coir — also known in the trade as coco peat or coir pith — is the fine, spongy fibre from coconut husks. It is a renewable by-product of the coconut industry. Unlike peat moss — which takes thousands of years to form and is a protected carbon sink — coco coir is harvested from coconut husks that would otherwise go to waste. It's better for your plants and better for the planet.
Who we supply
Our customers range from allotment holders and keen home growers to hydroponic growers, raised-bed gardeners, and small-scale commercial nurseries. Whether you need a single 5 kg brick or a trade pallet, we can help.
Where our coco coir comes from
We source our raw coco coir directly from established coconut-producing regions and have every batch washed, calcium-buffered, and tested before it reaches the UK. Our bricks are compressed at origin to reduce shipping volume and carbon footprint, then stocked at our UK fulfilment centre for fast dispatch.
